When you fall in love, you genuinely hear a violin being played in the background. You genuinely feel that clouds are bursting and you look at every small thing as really beautiful.Pulkit Samrats

I’ve done many shots of the Palace Pier in Brighton, but this one stood out, I just loved the perspective of how the Pier disappeared into the clouds in the distance. I spent quite a long time on the layered luminosity masks in Photoshop and the colour grading in Lightroom to get the clouds into a balanced contrast.

This composition was very popular on social media when first posted, mainly with other photographers. I was asked many questions about my editing techniques. Unfortunately for those asking, they are a secret and will remain so.

This print will be available from Monday 10th May
